Why is it that we don’t love our stomach as much as our brain? The stomach is one of the strongest organs in our body and as a result the one we seem to neglect the most. More and more research is showing the importance of gastrointestinal health for many health and mental issues. Not only is our digestive system a vital part of protecting against diseases, but digestive issues,even the most common ones, can be very disruptive to our daily lives and energy levels.

Food should make us feel satisfied, energised, nourished. However when nourishing our body results in bloating, heaviness, cramps, runny stools or constipation, we begin to disconnect from the association between food and nourishment and lose our ability to judge and naturally crave the food that is right for us. Over the counter medicine provides symptom relief which causes us to ignore the source of the problem and can eventually lead to more serious conditions such as Reflux, IBS, IBD and Gallstones, not to mention anxiety, chronic fatigue and even depression.

Whether you are looking to maintain a healthy gut or are suffering from an ongoing condition, join us on this 6 week course using the wisdom and knowledge of Kundalini Yoga and Ayurveda. In class we will use tools from Kundalini Yoga to identify and eliminate any ongoing stress causing pressure on the internal organs. We will strengthen our digestive and immune systems and eliminate any deeply held toxins. The knowledge of Ayurveda will support the Yoga that we do and take us each on an individual journey to discover the source of our current imbalances.

During this 6 week course you will:

  •  bring your digestive system back to a healthy balance;
  •  cleanse your system from intestinal toxins;
  •  strengthen your organs;
  •  strengthen your digestive fire;
  • change your circulation to allow more blood and oxygen to flow to your digestive organs in order to improve their function;
  • heal any ongoing stress, affecting your organs;
  • develop healthy habits that are suitable for your body and get to know your 'Doshas' - your individual bioenergetic construct.

The class will consist of 1.5 hrs of Yoga and meditation practice. In addition to the practice each participant will be given an individual Ayurvedic consultation to establish the state of their 'Doshas' and any present imbalances. This will be done in a one to one format and will be followed by suggestions on diet, herbal supplements and lifestyle which are individually tailored.
